The purpose of this exercise is to create and launch the initial draft of my personal portfolio website.
If I look at what I launched today, I am please with the overall look and feel of my portfolio site. The initial works I’ve selected to share demonstrate a wide variety of creative skills and storytelling. These are two key areas I want visitors to takeaway about me from visiting my site.
I think my blog (thought leadership space) and portfolio are my strongest areas on my portfolio. It is because they carry the content that demonstrates my ability to tell a story – through text, video, and audio – that I feel they are strong. The content on these pages are pieces that I am extremely proud to have created.
I think my resume needs more work. I think if I take the time there are some more interesting and creative ways that I can share my work history on this site.
Three goals that I am setting for myself in revising this site will be to create a personal video – either introduction or resume focused – to display on the site, to add more cornerstone projects and descriptions to my portfolio, and to add more fresh and relevant content to my blog.
