The purpose of this exercise is to detail some of the revisions I made to my fictitious site project for my Editing for the Web class. What follows is a description of several edits I made to the site based on feedback from my instructor and key learnings from the course.
Before
After
Based on feedback from my instructor and observations I made I keyed in on 3 core revisions to make to my fictitious brand site: remove the dates that appeared on the blog posts and pages, update the imagery on the menu and “get the reel deal” pages to better convey the brand is a food truck brand, and add more blog posts to help vary the imagery and feel of that page. In addition I also made the hero images that appear on the home page and blog page unique to help visitors understand that they have moved to a new page when navigating the website.
